NG Sea Lion Alaska Cruises

Lindblad Expeditions and National GeographicNG Sea Lion is the best way to see Alaska and the Inside Passage, where you’ll get to enjoy breathtaking natural beauty and exciting new adventures. Alaska is the last big wilderness in the United States, a place where glaciers still glisten, forests still thrive, mountains still soar, and exotic animals still roam free alongside human settlements on the water’s edge. On a cruise to Alaska aboard the NG Sea Lion from Lindblad-National Geographic, you will have the opportunity to take in the state’s breathtaking landscapes and participate in one-of-a-kind excursions.

Alaska Cruises

Alaska cruises include a pass by some tidewater glaciers including Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier. Tidewater glaciers are a type of glacier that flows directly into the sea and can calve violently into the water. Passing through the Inside Passage, the most popular cruises visit areas like Strait of Georgia, and Tracy Arm. With a few exceptions at Haines, Hoonah, and Sitka, cruises also visit Ketchikan, Skagway, or Juneau.

Alaska is aslo home to the Tongass National Forest, which is the largest national forest in the whole country. As part of Tongass National Forest, the Alexander Archipelago is a collection of about 1,100 islands stretching along Alaska’s southeast coast.

To reach Denali, Fairbanks, and the Yukon in Canada, you should head north to the Kenai Peninsula and neighboring Anchorage.
