Enjoy a magnificent cruise across the Stikine Icecap, which is about 45 miles south of Juneau, Alaska. Stikine Ice Cap, a massive ice field in the Alaska Panhandle region close to the Coast Mountains. It is the primary source of water for the Taku and Stikine rivers. Located between the Stikine River and the waters of Frederick Sound in south-east Alaska, the Stikine Icecap crosses the international border between the United States and Canada. The majority of the Stikine Icecap is a protected wilderness area within the Tongass National Forest. LeConte Glacier and Sawyer Glacier in the United States and Great Glacier in Canada all have their origins in the Stikine Icecap.

Famous peaks for which it is known in this area include the Cat’s Ears, Burkett Needle, and the Devil’s Thumb.
